Dirtopolis Revamped! New as of July 10th 2012

Post by weresdrim »

It's time for me and some others to make a town known as Dirtopolis, a town of which is (mostly) made of dirt and grass. If any want to help build this town, or just donate some dirt well contact me (Weresdrim). I know many will reply saying dirt is terrible well im gonna try to stop this comment and make something out of dirt look good???!!!
Remember if you want to see more than 1 page click next page down bottom

MREPIC OR OTHER LAZY VIEWERS!
I have a town of mostly dirt, It is massive and awesome, don't diss it till you see it. I have a big region surrounded by walls (the centre walled area is just the castle) I want spare dirt, so don't chuck in lava if you have some!

This post is updated regularly:
Current Update 10th July 2012
UPDATE SECTION:
Ok so, this is the update: I've decided to get back on novylen (let's see how long it will take to get bored again XP.), I may leave soon again, but if nt dirtopolis is going to get some major attention, I do need help though, the images of dirtopolis will be updated soon enough with a comparison between the two. I have used some netherbrick to highlight some areas. Don't forget to /dial dirtopolis next time you're online! I will be adding in a lighting system as well soon! I don't wish to pay so if you do have a spare moment please help this town rise, but if help is necessary I will pay for labour. If I or the user getting payed logs out before payment please /mail weresdrim to discuss payment if I am not online. Comments are appreciated.

So far the wall has got bigger, and I am making the sky wall larger too.

Really? A dirt town, let me tell you a few things:
1. Making towns is unoriginal
2. Making a town out of dirt is ugly
3. This is a bad idea

You could just make a town with the houses hidden in the hills. So you only need doors and loads of digging.

Or, do something more like the African Rock-Churches.

Haha lol, I knew everyone would hate dirt . You see normal towns are boring aren't they? Naming a town after yourself and making random buildings out of stone, wood and glass is unoriginal. I've been thinking of this town for a long time and won't give up on it!

People just shouldn't disgrace dirt! It makes up most of the minecraft surface world, and don't worry the town isn't completely dirt only it's main characteristics are (btw :grass: looks good from above) I'm still putting in things like fences, fountains, lights and other stuff.

Why don't people accept dirt, use a better texture pack if the one you're using is bad, or maybe it's just you!

I don't want a random city like everyone else. Dirt is easy to get and btw I didn't need to clear land, I built ground on sea (half rbos used world edit on :D )
