I think that would be a reasonable idea! I personally dont see the attraction of 'Mountain' and 'Island' as places to build, and they could be filled quite easilly by other things! Maybe even a one for all those TNT fanatics out there?

Mountain and Island provide epic landscapes which are not available in the reg world, and there are already several very massive and involved builds in them. Personally I see no appeal in creative, but I know lots of others love it. Perhaps the old vanilla server will pop up one day, full of strongholds and death. Until then, just tell notch you think its terrible that he made strongholds so limited.

I have actually started building in Mountain. You just have to venture out to see the builds! Not everyone builds near spawn - only noobs. And Island is full of creations. You dont have to walk far from spawn to see the massive amount of work that's been put into Island.
