1.8 Update - Old Worlds?

Hey everyone! I was recently looking at a lot of videos and reading a few things about the upcoming changes to Minecraft. There are going to be several changes to the environment such as bigger Biomes, new Biomes, strongholds ect. and I know that they wont change anything on the chunks that are currently already generated, only on new chunks. However, I have explored much of my world and it would take a very long time indeed to even come close to any of these new features. Therefore, I think it would be logical for me to find a VERY large ocean on another new world when the update comes out, and transfer my empire into it!

One problem... How? :S

If anyone can help I would be VERY grateful!!!
Thanks!

I am somewhat scared if I could lose Weekee to the 1.8 update myself, since I've started building in my new region that I got a little too late.

I know that we will have a new spawn, but how else will 1.8 have an impact on Novylen besides a temporary map?

The borders of the map is going to be bigger, so you can explore and build in the new biomes ect (or whatever notch is adding)
