Notch comes through and fixes some stuff!

+ Added server-side inventory
+ Made the server save player locations when they leave the server
+ Made chests work in SMP
+ Made signs work in SMP
+ Made furnaces work in SMP
+ Added monsters=false to server.properties. You can turn it on for experimental monsters, but you can’t hurt them directly yet. (Fire works, though!)

Just gotta wait until llama and hey0 update. :P

I could post it up now, but fire would be enabled. Hmm.

I'll just make a backup now and revert to it if needed.

It's up now. Fire works, and predictably a couple people are running around doing that, but yeah, don't build things out of wood.

Let's see how things go. :)

to my opinion...i like the update...but dont like that we no longer get access to unlimeted supplys (and yes i know what ur gonna say, "um obvious...this is a survival server..."). I thought the unlmmited supplys and items at will was awesome :) (even wrote down about like 30 or so codes on sticky notes as cheat sheets :) ), I wsh that could stay for a wile till we're all loaded up our trucks with supplys. O well :P

Getting blocks really isn't hard, especially with all the diamond blocks people have helpfully left cached all over the place.

Llamacraft antigrief is in, huzzah.

Someone is obviously very close to a bad chunk - hopefully not near the spawn? - which is causing the server to crash when the chunk is loaded.

I'm going to load the map myself on an alternate port and check out warp points to narrow down where it is.
