So, the Great Mapping Project is in day 3. Here's some sample output.
The map will have 12 zoom levels, which is why it's taking so long. It's about half finished the tile generation phase, so with any luck it'll be done tomorrow evening.

Once this phase is done, subsequent map updates will only change/re-render updated chunks. So I'll probably run it every few hours, or daily.

whats this program rbos? does it work for singleplayer maps, or just mulitplayer? i wanna see my big house i made on single player while waiting for the server to start up again ;p

It's beautiful, but wow, does it suck up the bandwidth displaying images.

Woah, I always wanted to see what a map of the server would look like. This is awesome, Nice one rbos!
Edit: When I get past a certain zoom level seems like it loads really slow but does eventually give me an image. Still very cool.
Also, I noticed that random tiny square of land way out in the distance lol.
