surprise downtime

Post by rbos »

Well, I thought I'd take the server down for a little bit to remove all the minecarts and stuff (the program was updated).

It seems to be working (it didn't immediately run out of memory) but it's taking longer than the "about a half hour" I quoted to the two people online.

Sorry. :P At the very latest I'll do it when I wake up.

Code: Select all

minecraft@rollup:~/pymclevel$ python mce.py ~/minecraft-smp/world/ removeEntities
INFO:Identifying /home/minecraft/minecraft-smp/world/
INFO:Can't read, attempting to open directory
INFO:Saved 0 chunks
INFO:Scanning for chunks...
INFO:Found 217999 chunks.
INFO:Detected Alpha world.
Removing all entities...

I think that solved a couple of annoying problems we''ve been having near firstspawn. :)

I am told they want to test until 12:30 (almost two hours as of this writing).

Sigh. :/

Still going. But I added a surprise to compensate, since I had downtime anyway. :)

Screw it - an hour with no word, past the deadline, I'm bringing things back up. Find the surprise!
