pictures in editable form

Iv seen some pictures of that map around the forums...and iv been thinking if making an edited map of snowville with all the information needed to NOT get lost in the maze some people find it.
The one problem i have with this is that i go to the server map (novylen.net/~minecraft) i cant find a way to extract it in a ebitable picture without loosing any of the map displayed...how do you guys do it??

screenshot'd be good, or I could try a different mapper. Hm. Maybe c10t or cartographer can do map subsets by coordinate.
