there is an island on the map of the server on the left side. It is surrounded by water and seems perfectly square. is it possible to reach that place? anyone want to trek with me to it?

That seems to be chunks that got created on the map without any connecting territory. Minecraft does that sometimes. It's not ocean, it's empty space.
