If Minecraft opens then it means you should already have a .Minecraft folder.
To locate it in windows:
1. Click Start and in the little search box type in %appdata% and hit enter. OR Press Windows Key + R key to open the Run command and then type in %appdata% and hit enter.
2. At the top you should see the .Minecraft folder.
