Falling damage as of 1.3
There's not much that can be done about it, but when you lag in 1.3, fall damage becomes very inconsistent. I've taken 9-10 hearts from 2-3 block falls, and managed to survive several 100+ block falls because the server seems to recalculate my fall damage each time I lagwarp. Maybe it's a weird interaction with the "moved too quickly" check?
